This story is not even close to being close to being in HN's clearly–defined scope, which is content that "gratifies intellectual curiosity". It's as baity and lightweight as stories come: conflating the death of an eminent person with broad dislike of prominent political and business figures.

We had a large discussion [1] about Jane Goodall's passing when it was announced five days ago, which was an appropriately reverential discussion. We don't need to diminish the gravity of her life and passing with this.

Meanwhile, several of your recent comments have been snarky and unsubstantive, and we need that to stop if you want to keep participating here. You may have a different idea than we do about what HN is for, so I'd encourage you to take a moment to read the guidelines [2] and make an effort to observe them in future. HN is not for continual venting about things we find upsetting or objectionable, it's for discussing topics that are interesting and inspiring, and for finding tech projects that may be useful in our work and life, and that might make the world a little bit better. It's not for everyone, but the people who make the best contributions and derive the greatest benefits are the ones who observe the guidelines and make an effort to raise the standards.
